Warmly Spiced Butternut Squash Soup


  • 1 tsp Finest Reserve by Our Family® Ground Ginger
  • 1 Tbsp Finest Reserve by Our Family® Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Finest Reserve by Our Family® Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Our Family® Salt
  • 2 lb butternut squash, peeled seeded and diced
  • 2 large Our Family® Carrots, peeled and diced
  • 1 large onion, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 lb Our Family® Red Potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 stalk celery, peeled and diced
  • 8 cups water
  • 1/2 cup Our Family® Maple Syrup or Honey

  1. In a large pot, add all ingredients except maple syrup and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are very tender.
  2. Carefully transfer soup to a blender and puree until smooth, blending in batches if needed. Pass puree through a fine mesh strainer. Wipe out the pot that was previously used, then add the soup back to it.
  3. Return to heat, bring to simmer, and add the maple syrup. Simmer until soup is thickened to desired consistency.
  4. Serve immediately while the soup is still hot.
