Chef's Tip

Spray grill with nonstick grill spray or cooking spray to prevent chicken from sticking to grill.

  1. Prepare outdoor grill for direct grilling over low heat. With kitchen scissors, cut off wing tips; discard. With sharp knife, split wings at the joint into the middle section and drumette.
  2. In large bowl, toss wings, baking powder, oil, chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper; let stand 30 minutes. Place wings on hot grill rack; cover and cook 20 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°, turning once.
  3. During last 3 minutes of cooking, brush both sides of chicken with 3/4 cup barbecue sauce. Makes about 32 wings.
  4. Serve wings garnished with parsley along with remaining 1 cup barbecue sauce, blue cheese dressing and/or ranch dressing, if desired.
