Chocolate Chip Snowball Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Our Family® Powdered Sugar
  • 1 cup Our Family® Unsalted Butter (2 sticks), softened
  • 1 1/2 tsp Our Family® Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Our Family® All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 tsp Our Family® Salt
  • 3/4 cup Our Family® Walnut Pieces
  • 1/2 cup Our Family® Semi-Sweet Mini Chocolate Morsels

Directions

  1. Position 2 oven racks to upper and lower positions; preheat oven to 350°. Line 2 rimmed baking pans with parchment paper; place 3/4 cup sugar in small bowl.
  2. In large bowl, with mixer on medium speed, beat butter and remaining 3/4 cup sugar 2 minutes or until light and fluffy, scraping bowl occasionally with rubber spatula. Add vanilla extract; beat 1 minute or until incorporated. With mixer on low speed, in 2 additions, beat in flour and salt 1 minute or until incorporated, scraping down bowl between additions. Add walnuts and chocolate chips; mix 30 seconds or until just combined.
  3. Using 2 small spoons or small ice cream scoop, drop cookie dough into 1 1/2-inch mounds, 2 inches apart, on prepared pans. Bake cookies 15 minutes or until lightly browned and set, rotating pans once halfway through baking. Cool cookies 5 minutes.
  4. Working with 1 cookie at a time, carefully roll warm cookies in sugar and place on same pans; cool completely. Makes about 30 cookies.
