Hatch Guacamole-Walnut Dip

Holy guacamole this is good! Our Hatch Guacamole Walnut Dip serves perfectly with crackers, tortilla chips, baby carrots, celery sticks, sliced bell peppers and/or cherry tomatoes.

Ingredients

  • 3 large Hatch chile peppers
  • 1 container (15 ounces) Fresh & Finest by Our Family® Original Guacamole
  • 3/4 cup Our Family® Chopped Walnuts
  • 1/2 cup Our Family® Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro plus additional for garnish (optional)
  • 1/2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp Our Family® Salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground Finest Reserve™ Black Peppercorn Grinder

Directions

  1. Prepare outdoor grill for direct grilling over medium-high heat. Place peppers on hot grill rack; cover and cook 8 minutes or until charred, turning every 2 minutes. Transfer peppers to large bowl; cover with plastic wrap and let stand 10 minutes.
  1. Remove skin from peppers. With small, sharp knife, cut lengthwise slit along 1 side of each pepper; remove seeds, membranes and stem. Coarsely chop peppers; transfer to food processor. Add guacamole, walnuts, sour cream, cilantro, lime juice, salt and black pepper to food processor; purée until smooth. Makes about 3 cups dip.
  1. Serve dip garnished with cilantro, if desired.
