Spring break is the perfect time to step away from the daily grind and enjoy some quality time with the family, but you don’t have to travel far- or at all to make the most of it! Whether you’re looking for adventure, relaxation or a little bit of learning, there are plenty of fun and engaging activities you can do right at home. From living room picnics to kitchen science experiments, we have ideas to turn your home into the ultimate spring break destination!
Living Room Picnic
Grab a blanket and some pillows from the couch and enjoy a living room picnic! This is a fun activity for lunch or dinner!
It might be a good idea to skip the spaghetti and marinara sauce and stick with foods that are easier to eat and won’t cause a mess on the carpet- like, Turkey, Cheese & Apple Kabobs or a tasty grilled cheese made with creamy Our Family sliced cheese!

Family Movie Night
Grab the pillows, blankets and Our Family Popcorn! Create a movie theater in your living room. You can get creative and make your own movie tickets or have your own concession stand with all the fun beverages and candy!
Kitchen Cook Off
Challenge each other in the kitchen! Grab 3-5 ingredients from the pantry or refrigerator and give each family member an hour to create a dish with those ingredients! It’s a great way to get creative and have fun trying new things!
Bake Off
If cooking doesn’t peak your interests, a bake off is a fun way to make things competitive (and perhaps more edible). Each family member can pick their favorite dessert recipe to make, and at the end everyone gets to sample the creations to compare who’s is the tastiest!

Kitchen Science Experiments
Turn your kitchen into a laboratory with hands-on science experiments the whole family can enjoy! Not only are these activities a blast, but they also sneak in a little learning along the way.
Baking Soda Volcano: Create a miniature volcano using baking soda, vinegar, and dish soap. Watch as the “lava” bubbles over while teaching kids about chemical reactions in the most exciting way possible.
Magic Milk Swirls: Add a few drops of food coloring to a dish of milk, then touch the surface with a cotton swab dipped in dish soap. The colors will dance and swirl, illustrating surface tension in action.
You don’t need to hop on the next flight for your family to have an enjoyable spring break! There are a multitude of ways you can bring fun to your family and learn something too! Whether you are getting creative in the kitchen or enjoying some salty snacks with your favorite flick, the opportunities are endless for a week of fun!
