2 Tbsp Our Family® Butter, cut into 1 tbsp. pieces
½ cup Our Family® Yellow Onion, finely chopped
1 clove fresh garlic, finely minced
3 Tbsp Our Family® Our Family® All-Purpose Flour
2 cups Our Family® Vitamin D Whole Milk
1 14.5 oz. can Our Family® Chicken Broth
½ cup Our Family® Heavy Whipping Cream
3 cups fresh broccoli florets, finely chopped
2 ½ cups Our Family® Finely Cut 3 State Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Our Family® Salt and Our Family® ground black pepper, to taste
Directions
Melt Our Family Butter in pot over medium-high heat. Add in onions and cook, stirring frequently until nearly soft, about 4 – 5 minutes.
Add in finely minced garlic and Our Family All-Purpose Flour, and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
While whisking, slowly pour in Our Family Vitamin D Milk then Our Family Chicken Broth. Then, add broccoli.
Cook soup, stirring constantly until mixture begins to thicken. Then reduce heat to low and allow to cook, stirring very frequently, until broccoli is tender, about 6 – 8 minutes.
Remove soup from heat. Stir in Our Family Heavy Whipping Cream, and then stir in Our Family 3 State Cheddar cheese, mixing until melted.
Season with Our Family Salt and Ground Black Pepper to taste. Serve warm, with more Our Family 3 State Cheddar
